Eat This Zombies (Game Designer) - 2013 at CGS, Chennai
Game Description | Eat This Zombies
In Eat This Zombies, players utilize healthy, organic food to transform zombies back into humans. Superfoods provide advantages for longer survival and turning more zombies into humans. Dropping unhealthy/bad food on Zombies makes them more aggressive! How It All Started Dr. Laura Umfer, a client from Tampa, Florida, approached us with an idea to raise awareness about junk foods among kids using zombies. While she had the idea, she lacked a proper gameplay or story. Our team worked on the base idea, shaping it into a working gameplay model. We developed a prototype with cartoon-style graphics and basic gameplay, all within a single level. The client liked the gameplay's simplicity, controls, and appealing graphics. Subsequently, we began implementing the remaining levels, story, and other features. Game Features Eat This Zombies boasts a simple story and major features, including:
Our team comprised four members: one Game Designer, one Graphic Designer, one Game Programmer, and one Tech Lead. As the game designer, I managed the story, character ideas, gameplay design, level design, sound design, and user experience design. Mr. Raghu.MK handled all game graphics, storyboards, animations, and promo videos. Mr. Kamal Kannan managed the gameplay programming, while Mr. Vijay Kumar served as the Tech Lead and project backbone. CGS recognized my efforts, awarding me the Best Performer of the Month with a cash bonus, alongside other team members. The client was also highly pleased with the output. The game was released on the iTunes store by Dr. Laura Umfer and received a review from Indie Sniffer on their official website. I have posted the review, rating, and the link under the game preview video. |
EAT THIS ZOMBIES Game Review by Indie Sniffer!Indie Sniffer - This is a different kind of game from what I usually play. It has a different audience, a different goal. It’s a game that has to be reviewed having those specific roles in mind and cannot be taken under comparison with other games I’ve reviewed here and I’ll explain why. |
